Itinerary
Meet at 5:00 pm at the advised pre-location in the confirmation email.
5-7pm Post Processing session
7:30-9:30pm practical session ( If weather is bad, a second advanced editing / post-processing session will be given )
What to bring
Laptop with pre-loaded Lightroom and Photoshop
Digital DSLR or Mirrorless camera.
Lens, preferably your widest and fastest lens ( 10-24mm ) ( f2.8-f4 or faster ) ( 24-100mm for the Moon)
Spare Batteries ( Cold nights can drain lithium batteries fast )
Tripod with Ball Head
Intervalometer or cable release. Unless camera has an internal feature.
Star Tracker - Optional
Headlamp with red light option ( Red light is critical for dark adaptation )
Torch ( Used when scouting locations )
Sturdy shoes for walking
Warm clothing ( The warmer you are the more comfortable you will be capturing the night sky )
Snacks and beverages
Hire - There’s an option to try before you buy and hire equipment on the night.
